Fancy meeting you here

Love this! The fabulous DWJ sent me this photo of us bumping into each other on her way home from work last nite. Funny, I barely remember it… Tee hee. ;) I’m headlining the DC Improv this week. One more show tonite. If you’re in the area and looking for something fun to do, come on down and check us out!

Happy New Year and the BEST GIFT EVER!

Happy New Year!

And thanks so much DC for 4 sold out shows at the DC Improv. Man, did I have a blast!!!

I know you can’t tell by looking at this picture. This picture looks like an audition pic for Bad Girls Club. But we really did have a ball. I even got a midnite kiss. Or two. ;) Shhhhhhh…

Now as some of you may remember, Dirty Dancing is my absolute favorite movie of all time, and I have been asking for the Dirty Dancing Board Game for the past three Christmases. WELL… after the NYE countdown show, one of my Facebook friends, Gaura presented me with a gift. I’d never received a gift at a show before so I was super geeked. As I started to unwrap it, I realized what it was and I started jumping up and down and screaming. Folks probably thought I was crazy…

Thanks Gaura. You are the GREATEST!!! You made my dream come true. Can’t wait to play! Think I’m gonna bust out my Dirty Dancing VHS for a little refresher before the board game tournament I’m planning with my friend Natalie.

Me and DDBG — Love at first sight.

I hope you all had a happy and safe New Year’s celebration. I’m looking so forward to 2011 and all the exciting things I KNOW it will bring — starting with this quick little nap I’mma sneak in before football starts. ;)

I’m almost off the market… Get it while you can!

OK! Now that I have your attention… DC peeps: I think there may still be a few tix left for my show tonite at the DC Improv. The Post Express did a plug today and I did a spot on Fox Morning News on Tuesday so we’ve been packed out so far. Would love for any/all of you local readers to come on down to the show so we can meet in the real world! Hope to see some of you guys this weekend!

New Years Eve Fun!!!

Hey you guuuuyyyyyssss!!!

If you’re gonna be in or around DC or are thinking about heading this way to celebrate New Years, might I suggest that you buy tickets to see me headline the DC Improv that weekend. We have shows Wed. thru Friday, and the NEW YEARS EVE dinner shows are gonna be SUPER fun! Great food, lots of drink. And you can watch me stay sober so I can work while you toast and get toasted. There is sure to be some bitterness on my part, but also a lot of hilarity. I’ve included the show information below:

Fourth o’ July – Pt. 1 (Work Hard)

This weekend I had the honor and pleasure of headlining the main showroom at the Improv here in DC.

I close at other clubs on the road, but there’s something special about the people that have been watching you since you first picked up a mic having enough confidence in you to give you such an awesome opportunity. The management and the staff at the Improv have been AMAZING to me over the years — they’re like family. And at every juncture so far they’ve supported me and even pushed me to take leaps before I even thought I was ready.

Thanks guys for everything!

So many of the friends I grew up with in Jersey have settled in the DC area. A bunch of them came out to support this weekend and for most, it was their first time ever coming to one of my shows! This is my girl Jenny with her two brothers Jamal and Jerome and their friend. They took me out dancing afterwards. We had a ball!

Pre-drinks and dancing... By the end of the night I was leaning like one of the backup dancers in the Smooth Criminal video.

This is my friend/big brother/cheerleader, Joe.

And this is my former roommate Crystal — the only person (besides my folks — well at least besides my mom) who has lived with me and still likes me ;)

Many thanks to all my Jersey homies and my Howard buddies who came out to the shows this weekend, and of course the hundreds of other people who took a chance on this small town girl living in a lonely world (how hard does Steve Perry STILL rock? ;)

You made my weekend!

A great headliner and an apologetic heckler

This weekend I was working in DC again with bud Justin Schlegel and headliner John Pinette. And we had a blast! The shows were great, and John was one of the funniest and NICEST headliners I’ve ever worked with. I really hope we get to work together again.

I love working at the Improv in DC. I’m just as comfortable there as I am at my own house. Seriously. The managers and the staff are like family. I heart them. Here are a couple photos of me and some of my “cousins” ;)

Audienceร‚ย  member Don was nice enough to send me this photo of me and Justin with his crew. They were fun and I hope they’ll come out to another show!

Don and his gang -- Please notice the hand/head action here. He said he was trying to stop the flash from bouncing off his head... Hilarious!

Haha, during the early show on Saturday I had a very cordial heckler that made me “Tee hee” ;) Check it out below:

Haha, fun times!

Valentine’s Day — In case you missed it…

A great big, huge-tastic thanks to all of you guys who bought tickets (and those who wanted to but couldn’t) to my Valentine’s Day shows at the DC Improv over the weekend. We had a blast and I think the shows were great from top to bottom. It’s been a while since I posted new material so here’s some of the stuff that’s been on my mind as of late. A lot of it just came to me that night… so don’t you dare judge me! Tee hee ;)
