My nephew is a genius

No really he is.

He’s a few days short of 15 months and he knows his alphabet AND numbers. And not just the song. He can recognize them all on sight, out of order. Don’t believe me? Check out the video for yourself. His mom has finally learned to turn him around in the tub when she tapes so he won’t hate her [as much] when he gets older… And while you can’t see his beautiful little face (click here for more Roman) , his AWESOME is on full display!!!

See, I TOLD you he was amazing… How can you not love this kid? I’m trying to get his parents to gift me his college fund. He’s so smart he’s not gonna need it… And I’ve got “parentheses” around my checking account balance. ;)

How can you not love this kid?

I know you don’t know him, but come on and admit it… You love him.

BFF Angi sent me this video of auntie’s baby playing with the toy I bought him for his very first birthday last month — the LeapFrog Learn and Groove Alphabet Drum (Thanks, Titi for the suggestion. He loves it!) It’s the cutest thing ever so I had to share it. He is getting so big!

Man, I can’t wait for BFF Michelle’s little bundle this summer. I’m not sure I’ll be able to take it! I HEART other people’s babies… I can’t wait to buy her kid a noisy ass toy!

My new crush and birth control

So most of you who know me personally or read on a regular basis know that I have a serious crush on BFF Angi’s son, Roman. So far I’ve chronicled his disdain for Sarah Palin and his Halloween adventures. He’s super adorable and from all reports is a consistently happy and pleasant baby — the kind of kid every new mother or woman who’s thinking about having a baby prays for. But after hearing the story his mom told me on Saturday afternoon, I’m pretty sure I’m not ready for kids anytime soon. My current dating status dictates that birth control is… well, under control, but if I had a need for it, I would totally get on the pill today.

BFF Angi just posted an entry on Roman’s blog about what we now refer to as Operation Stinky Panera. If you don’t have kids yet, but think you like and/or want them, read this post … just to make sure.

You’re welcome.
