"Washington has
been the home of a number of very good comics and a few great ones (Wanda Sykes,
Dave Chappelle, Lewis Black, Martin Lawrence). Erin Jackson could be next in
line." --
The Washington Post
Armed with a megawatt smile and a pocket full of dreams, Erin Jackson is poised to conquer the world of stand-up.
In fact,
she’d probably be well on her way to superstardom by now if her friends
and family hadn’t spent so many years stealing her
joy.
Since
making a name for herself at colleges and comedy clubs across the country, Erin has garnered national attention with performances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show
and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.
She was
a semifinalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing,
and was a featured writer and performer for TBS's Bitcom Series. Erin has
also made several appearances on The Bob
and Tom Show, and was recently invited by HBO to open for
Bill Maher at the tapings for his latest HBO special.
Erin is currently peddling her comedic wares at venues all around the country and looking forward
to the day when she becomes famous enough to move to Hollywood, buy a mansion
and marry a White woman — the ultimate symbol of success for Black celebrities.
